Measuring air quality: which factors influence?

There are several factors that influence the overall air quality within a room or within the entire building. Various substances are part of the air that people breathe: carbon dioxide, nitrogen, oxygen and water vapor. The proportions between these substances affect the quality of the air. Humidity, the combination of air temperature and moisture content, is a good example of this. When dry cold air is heated by a radiator, people often experience this air as too dry. As a result, the quality is lower.

In addition, CO2 is important. The lower the amount of CO2, the better people like it and the higher the quality of the air is considered. In full spaces, such as a canteen at lunchtime, CO2 emissions are rapidly increasing because people breathe them out continuously. Sufficient air supply is required to keep the air quality in order.
